We continue to gain momentum through the permitting process, and are grateful to all the government agencies for their time and willingness to partner on a productive path forward to remove decommissioned lead cables from Lake Tahoe
Emerald Bay State Park and D.L. Bliss State Park are two uniquely beautiful places that host visitors throughout the year. As the lead cables’ path crosses through both, we’re eager to work towards removal from these public spaces
Interestingly enough, given how long ago these lead cables were laid - they actually predate the formation of the parks! Its a great reminder that this situation is a burden of the past that is best approached by coming together to achieve the appropriate outcome for the future
As someone who has enjoyed parks across the state of California for decades, it was an honor to meet with leadership and see their thoughtful approach to preservation and conservation so that these incredible natural resources can be enjoyed for many generations to come
Meetings of this nature are fundamental to our community effort to collaborate across stakeholders. We’re grateful for the meaningful engagement across public entities to evaluate and guide our efforts towards the appropriate outcome
